Frequently asked questions
How do I choose the right membership level?
Choose the level that best reflects your role and how you want to engage. Community is open to anyone interested in schema therapy and offers general discussions. Student is for those currently in graduate training and includes clinical discussion areas. Professional is for practicing clinicians and researchers, with full clinical and professional exchange. Sustaining is for those who want to support JYSTA’s growth at a higher level.
How is pricing determined?
Pricing is adjusted based on World Bank country income classifications (July 2025) to support equitable access across regions. There are four pricing categories (A–D); your country selector above places you automatically.
How does billing work?
Membership is billed annually based on your date of joining, with the option to enable automatic renewal each year. Payment is handled securely through Mighty Networks.
Can I change my membership level later?
Yes. You can change your membership level as your role or level of engagement evolves. Please contact us and we will be happy to assist.
Do I need to be certified in schema therapy to join?
No. Membership is open to clinicians, researchers, and supporters at all stages of experience with schema therapy, including those new to the model. Access to specific community features varies by membership level.
What if my country isn’t listed?
As a U.S.-based nonprofit, JYSTA complies with applicable laws and regulations related to international participation, and payment access may be restricted in certain countries. If your country isn’t listed or you have questions about eligibility, please contact us.
Are clinical discussions moderated?
Clinical discussions take place within a professional community guided by established standards of respect and thoughtful exchange. While discussions are not actively moderated in real time, concerns can be reported and reviewed to maintain a constructive environment.
